Notts County will look to kick-start their League Two campaign this Saturday when lowly Yeovil Town visit Meadow Lane.
The Magpies will be boosted by the return of duo Jack Barmby and goalkeeper Roy Carroll.
Leicester City loan star Barmby is fit following a minor knock whilst Carroll returns from international duty with Northern Ireland, where he helped the team qualify for Euro 2016.
Boss Ricardo Moniz is likely to shuffle the pack yet again as he favours a strong rotation policy.
Paul Sturrock will take his team to the East Midlands buoyed by the news that Connor Roberts’ loan from Swansea City has been extended by a further month.
Jake Howells will not be available however and has returned to Luton Town following the end of his temporary stint with the club.
Sturrock has an ever growing injury list and Kevin Dawson, Simon Gillett, Ben Tozer, Jack Compton, Omar Sowunmi and Jamie Burrows will all be unavailable for the trip to Nottingham.
With the Magpies tipped to be among the promotion candidates ahead of the season it remains to be seen just how long Dutchman Moniz will be given to turnaround the club’s fortunes.
A defeat at home to Yeovil on Saturday could possibly see the curtain come down on his short reign in charge.
