The Dons have struggled to adjust to life in the Championship so far this campaign and have just two of their opening ten games of the campaign. Their 1-1 draw with Bristol City before the international break halted a five game losing streak for Karl Robinson's men.

On a positive note for the Liverpudlian, their are no new injury concerns with just long-term absentees Cody Cropper and Darren Potter still sidelined. Midfielder Mark Randall returned from injury to score the Dons 14-0 win over Didot Town earlier in the week and he will be assessed.

Midfielder Samir Carruthers is now eligible again after serving a three-match ban.

Jordan Rhodes picked up a knock while on international duty with Scotland is expected to feature, along with Lee Williamson who suffered the same fate while with the Jamaica squad.

Otherwise manager Gary Bowyer has to make plans around Danny Guthrie, Fode Koita, Jason Lowe and Chris Brown who will definitely miss the game through injury.

Blackburn's upturn in form has coincided with the return of striker Rhodes who suffered an injury on the first day of the season and Rovers struggled to replace the goals he scores, particularity with Rudy Gestede leaving in the summer.

The Scotland international has put the summer speculation about his future behind him and has scored seven of Blackburn's last nine goals. Rovers are unbeaten in their last four as a result of Rhodes' return to the first team.
