The iPro Stadium plays host to a match between two of the league favourites as they both look to improve on their league position.

Burnley, who sit in fourth place, have the chance to go level on points with second-placed Middlesbrough with a win, whilst the Rams have the chance to leap frog East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest after a slow start to the season, which has picked up in the last week.

Both Sean Dyche and Paul Clement will be hoping for promotion at the end of the season, adding a bit of spice to the Monday night clash that both teams will be desperate to win.

Derby fans will be more confident due to the fact that midfielder George Thorne could return to action after missing the Rams' last two games through a calf injury. Craig Bryson and Chris Baird however are both out of contention with concussion and a knee injury respectively. Jason Shackell is also in line to start against his former employers.

Dyche on the other hand has no fresh injury concerns to worry about as he looks to extend his side's positive form.

The Lancashire side will be buoyed by four straight wins, but will be facing stern opposition in the shape of an improving Derby side, who have won their last two games against Preston North End and Reading, although have yet to win under Clement at the iPro Stadium.

The last time the two sides met, Burnley ran out 2-0 winners in their promotion winning season back in 2014.

However, the Rams will be hoping to overturn their opponents and push towards the top half of the Championship table this time round.
