Steven Pressley takes his struggling Fleetwood side to Oakwell to face Lee Johnson's Barnsley this afternoon.

New Fleetwood manager Steven Pressley takes his side to Barnsley this afternoon (3pm kick-off)

Both teams are down near the bottom of the table. Barnsley have lost four and won one of their last five league games, and have only two points more than Fleetwood, who sit 22nd in the division.

The Cod Army have won only one of their last seven, after beating Burton 4-0 last week, but have lost the other six.

Key player Ben Pearson won't be eligible to play after a one match ban was issued, following his acquirement of five yellow cards. Irish midfielder Conor Hourihane also remains out of action with a hamstring injury, and Marley Watkins is doubtful as he is still battling an ankle problem. A groin problem leaves goalkeeper Adam Davies also unavailable.

Australian winger Ryan Williams still won't be available until next week as he is struggling with a groin injury, and Johnson hinted that a new face could be brought into the side, most likely teenager Louis Wardell, who should take up a midfield position as the Tykes hope to avoid a fifth consecutive defeat.

Fleetwood defender Richard Wood could be playing his last game tomorrow at Oakwell as he will return to parent club Rotherham United, even though Pressley may consider extending his stay.

Victor Nirenold could return to the side this afternoon, but remains doubtful, but defender Nathan Pond is definitely out due to a long-term ankle problem.

It is a crucial game for both sides in their bid to avoid being sucked into a relegation battle, and thus should prove to be a fascinating encounter.
