Gary Monk has confirmed that goalkeeper Keiren Westwood is available for selection ahead of the Yorkshire derby against Leeds this Saturday.

The experienced goalkeeper has played eleven times this season for Wednesday, keeping three clean sheets.

The 35 year-old has been a key player for the club since joining in 2014, signing from Sunderland. He penned a new contract this summer and has looked to remain the number one at Hillsborough.

The Irishman missed the midweek win over Stoke but Monk confirmed today that Westwood is back in contention for the game against Leeds on Saturday.

A boost no doubt to the squad, having said that Monk now has a selection dilemma with Westwood's replacement Cameron Dawson keeping a clean sheet in the 1-0 win over the Potters.

Sheffield Wednesday will have to be stubborn and tough to break down as they host a Leeds team who will arrive at Hillsborough expecting to have the majority of the ball and chances at goal.

They may have to rely on their goalkeeper quite a bit if Leeds continue how they have set out so far this campaign.

Both sets of fans have already been looking ahead and building up the weekend's fixture and plenty of Leeds fans have been reacting to Westwood's potential inclusion.
