Nottingham Forest manager Martin O'Neill will still be harbouring hopes of a late play-off push despite currently being down in 11th place in the Championship, as in reality, Forest are only three points off the final play-off place with eight games of the season remaining.

O'Neill's play-off quest will have been given a boost with the news that striker Lewis Grabban has returned to training and will be in the squad to face Swansea after the international break, as reported in the Nottingham Post.

So how big a boost is the return of Grabban for Forest?

We discuss.......

Gary Hutchinson

“Maybe, I’m not so sure.

“The things emerging recently make me wonder if he’s not a great influence in the dressing room.

“The summer will be very interesting indeed.

“There’s going to be big changes there.”

Louie Chandler

"100%

"Grabban has not been spectacular this season but is still comfortable the club's most reliable striker.

"Get him back in and make one last push for the top six."

Alfie Burns

“Massive news for O’Neill.

“If Grabban can pick up where he was before his injury troubles then Forest have a real chance of finishing in the top-six.

“O’Neill’s side are hard to beat, but lack that cutting edge in the final third.

“Grabban solves that problem.”

Jay Taylor

“The cavalry has been called in.

“Grabban’s return is a shot in the arm for Forest who still have hopes of making the play-offs.

“If the striker can hit the ground running upon his return, then it’s open season in the play-off race with eight games to go.”
