‘Massive deal’, ‘Absolutely huge’ – Many Millwall fans react to recent transfer news

Many Millwall fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that the club are set to resign midfielder George Saville from Middlesbrough.

As reported earlier today by Football Insider, the 28-year-old is said to be in advanced talks over a move back to the New Den after two years away and is seemingly set to leave the Riverside Stadium.

Saville previously spent three separate spells with the Lions before moving north to join Boro in 2019 and will be looking to add to his 67 Millwall appearances once the deal is confirmed.

The midfielder was in great form for Middlesbrough last term, as he scored six goals and racked up four assists during a season in which the club just missed out on a play-off place.

Naturally the news of Saville’s impending move back to Millwall didn’t take long to reach the club’s fanbase, with many taking to social media to air their views on the matter.
