Derby County striker Martyn Waghorn has shared a message with the Rams' fans whilst on holiday with his family in America.

There will not be too many similarities between life at Disney Land, California, and Pride Park but Waghorn managed to find one during the resorts famous parade.

The 29-year-old compared some of the dancing from the characters with the now famous bounce carried out by the club's players and fans after a win.

Sharing  short video of the action, Waghorn wrote alongside it: "Disney's version of the bounce".

The most iconic bounce of the season undoubtedly came after their play-off semi-final second leg against Leeds United when they came from 2-0 down on aggregate to win 4-3 and progress to the final.

Aston Villa spoilt any hopes of a Wembley bounce, however, beating the Rams 2-1 under the famous arch to ensure Frank Lampard's side remained in the Championship.

It was a decent first season at Pride Park for Waghorn following his move from Ipswich Town in the summer, scoring 14 goals in all competitions.

But after scoring 16 and assisting 13 with the Tractor Boys in the previous campaign he will be looking to improve in the coming campaign.

The verdict

It may have been a slightly disappointing opening campaign from Waghorn but you cannot dispute how he has connected with his new club.

And he will no doubt prove an important figure next season, especially with the likes of Harry Wilson and Mason Mount unlikely to return in attack.

But will he be able to cement down the striking spot over Jack Marriott? It remains to be seen. Although it will be fascinating to follow.
