Derby County striker Martyn Waghorn has delivered a passionate message on social media, after the Championship play-off semi-final victory over Leeds United last night.

Frank Lampard's side came from behind to win 4-2 at Elland Road, in one of the greatest play-off semi-finals in recent memory and set up a final with Aston Villa at Wembley later this month.

Stuart Dallas had put Leeds 1-0 up on the night and 2-0 up on aggregate, but the Rams staged an epic comeback, with two goals from Jack Marriott, one from Mason Mount and a Harry Wilson penalty to stun the home fans.

Waghorn missed both legs of the play-off semi-final with an Achilles injury, but posted this passionate message to Derby fans on his personal

The Verdict:

The forward will have been disappointed to miss the semi-final through injury, but will have been delighted with his teammates for the way they were able to come back and reach the final.

The striker has scored 13 goals for Derby in all competitions this season and will be desperate to play a part in the final against Villa later this month.
