Portsmouth have had a promising first half of the League One season so far.

Danny Cowley’s side are currently 7th in the table, albeit with a game in hand on their promotion rivals.

Pompey are just one side outside of the play-off places and will be aiming for a top six finish come the end of the campaign.

Results in recent weeks have seen the team fall behind in the race for automatic promotion, with four draws in a row hampering their top two ambitions.

Here are the top most valuable players in Cowley’s squad, according to figures from Transfermarkt…

  1. Ronan Curtis

Curtis has been with Pompey since 2018, since signing from Derry City in the League of Ireland.

The 26-year old has become a key player at Fratton Park over the years, and has made 15 league appearances so far this season.

He has earned a valuation of £605K.

  1. Josh Griffiths

Griffiths arrived from West Brom on loan for the current season last summer, taking on the difficult task of replacing Gavin Bazunu in goals for the team.

However, the 21-year old has performed well at this level, and has cemented himself as the team’s first choice between the sticks.

The shot stopper has earned a valuation of £864K.

  1. Marlon Pack

Pack is one of the club’s latest summer arrivals, having signed for Pompey from Cardiff City in the previous transfer window.

The veteran midfielder has asserted himself as an important figure in the squad, playing 14 of the team’s league games so far this season.

The 31-year old has earned himself a valuation of £1.3 million.

  1. Dane Scarlett

Scarlett has arrived at Fratton Park as part of a season long loan agreement having received a lot of plaudits for his performances at underage level.

This has been his first big chance to perform at senior level, with Portsmouth offering him consistent game time so far this season.

From his 17 league appearances, he has made 13 starts, scored three and assisted one goal.

This has earned him a valuation of £1.7 million.

  1. Josh Koroma

Koroma has also arrived at the League One side this summer on a loan deal, coming from Huddersfield Town.

The forward has two goals from 11 league appearances so far this season.

The 24-year old also has a valuation worth up to £1.7 million to make him the club’s most valuable player.
