Following the confirmation that Nottingham Forest would be playing at least one more campaign in the Championship, Mark Warburton will surely be on the phone for new signings already.

The manager has little time to relax if he wants to seriously overhaul the current squad at City Ground, so it wouldn't be surprising if he is already tying one or two knots ahead of a frantic summer that awaits.

With the rising talent of teenager Ben Brereton and the now fully-fit Britt Assombalonga, who bagged twice in the final day victory over Ipswich Town, the striking options in the first-team is still incomplete.

I highly recommend Warburton looks to acquire the services of outcast Arsenal forward Chuba Akpom, who is returning to the Gunners after a frustrating loan spell at promoted Brighton & Hove Albion.

Reason I say that is because the 21-year-old made ten appearances for the Seagulls since signing in January and failed to score a single goal, a period of his career I'm sure he'll want to put behind him.

With the confident service that Nottingham Forest have in the senior squad, it makes sense that the England under-21 international would thrive in Mark Warburton's side.

The East Midlands outfit may only be looking to finish as high as possible in the Championship next season but for that to happen then they need some hunger and determination, two attributes that Chuba Akpom contains and would make him a hit at the club.

Nottingham Forest fans, is it realistic to think Akpom would come to the City Ground? Could he be a star at the club? Tell us your opinions in the comments below!
