Mark Warburton has urged Bright Osayi-Samuel to ignore speculation over his future and focus on his game.

The Queens Park Rangers star faces an uncertain future in West London after entering into the final year of his contract with the club.

Osayi-Samuel has been one of the club's top performers over the last season or two leading to speculation over a move to clubs such as Celtic as Belgian giants Club Brugge.

The 22-year-old will be free to discuss terms over a pre-contract agreement with clubs outside of England in January, and that is a situation that seems to be weighing heavily on both the player and the club.

But after impressing in Tuesday night's victory over Rotherham United, the QPR boss has urged the winger focus on enjoying his football.

As quoted by West London Sport, Warburton said: “He looked very good tonight.

"He looked dangerous and was a constant threat.

“The people above my pay grade are still talking. If someone wants to buy him I’m sure they can – every player in the world has got a price.

“All he’s doing right now is concentrating on playing football and that’s what he needs to do – just enjoy his football, enjoy being a good player and enjoy playing for QPR.”

The Verdict

The Bright Osayi-Samuel situation is far from ideal for Queens Park Rangers.

As one of the club's most valuable assets, the prospect of losing him for almost nothing is a disaster - particularly in the current climate.

With a new contract appearing unlikely it seems that the Hoops may have to sell for a heavily discounted fee in January to recoup any fee - something that is going to really irk supporters.
