QPR manager Mark Warburton says he is hopeful that winger Bright Osayi-Samuel will be available to feature for his side when they host Watford on Saturday afternoon.

Osayi-Samuel was absent from Rangers' 3-1 defeat at Blackburn in the final game before the international break, having suffered a groin injury in the lead-up to that game.

However, it now seems as though that is not going to deny QPR the services of the 22-year-old for any extended period of time.

Providing an update on Osayi-Samuel ahead of that clash with the Hornets, Warburton was quoted by the West London Times as saying: “He’s all good. He’s back training with us and there’s been no negative reaction. I hope he’ll be available for selection.”

So far this season, Osayi-Samuel has made nine league appearances for QPR, scoring once in their 1-1 draw at home to Middlesbrough, after no move away from the club in the summer transfer window materialised for the winger.

Going into that clash with Watford, Warburton's side sit 18th in the Championship table, six points of the relegation zone with 13 points from 11 games to their name.

The Verdict

This does look as though it will be something of a welcome boost for QPR.

We all know how good Osayi-Samuel can be, and with the club currently in something of an  underwhelming position in the Championship, they will be hoping he can find that form again to help pull them up the standings.

It should also be something of a boost for the club given the heavy schedule coming up now there is no international break until March, giving them more scope to rotate between now and then.
