QPR boss Mark Warburton has admitted he is facing a selection headache ahead of his side's trip to Hull City on Saturday with a fully fit squad at his disposal.

Warburton's side are currently sitting ninth in the Championship following a solid start which has seen them win six of their opening 11 matches, and they head into the Hull match on the back of a 4-2 victory over Blackburn before the international break.

The strike partnership between Nahki Wells and Jordan Hugill has fired the Rs to success with 12 goals between them so far, while the likes of Ryan Manning and Eberchi Eze have also proved pivotal during the opening weeks.

Warburton has now conceded that he is faced with a selection dilemma as the likes of Luke Amos, Matt Smith and Grant Hall all return from injury, but he then went on to claim he welcomes having to make such a decision.

"We have got a tight squad and we’ve had a couple of injuries recently but we have dealt with them," Warburton told the QPR website.

"We lost Grant, Angel [Rangel], Luke Amos and Matty Smith earlier in the season but we dealt with it. They are coming back and now we have some selection issues, which is great.”

Hall and Rangel have both made seven appearances in defence for the Rs this season, while Smith and Amos have been limited to four and five appearances respectively as a result of their recent injury troubles.

The Verdict

The fact Warburton now has a fully fit squad at his disposal means the Rs should be ready to kick on this season as they aim to build on their early-season promise.

QPR's four-game winning run extending across August and September proved what they are capable of achieving this term, and having extra squad depth will only help Warburton's side improve their consistency.

Hall's return to the side will be a particularly welcome boost given his influence on the team in the opening weeks of the season, but it will be interesting to see where Warburton fits him in his plans with Toni Leistner and Yoann Barbet performing well.
