Mark Warburton has stated that he's not 'bothered' by the interest in QPR full-back Ryan Manning.

The R's have had a good start to the season and will be hoping to continue that in the next few weeks as the Championship table begins to really start taking shape.

Good form has meant that there has been speculation about some of their players, and one of them who has been tipped for a Premier League move is versatile player Manning.

He is able to play in the midfield, or as a left-back/wing-back and has been brilliant for Warburton's side so far this season as his ability to support the attack from defence has helped provide and create a lot of chances for the R's.

Warburton has insisted that he's not bothered about the speculation and that it is a good thing as it means his players are doing well.

Speaking to West London Sport, Warburton said: “Ryan’s been playing well and it’s part and parcel of the game that there’ll be speculation about a player who’s performing well.

“It doesn’t bother me and I know Ryan is happy here and knows he has to stay fully focused.

“In many ways the more speculation there is about players the better. It means they’re doing well.”

The Verdict

Manning has been mightily impressive so far this season, and offers so much going forward for QPR and that is a massive positive in their play.

One worry for the full-back is that he can leave himself open defensively at times, and that has shown with the R's failing to pick up a clean sheet in the first 15 games of the new season.

With Premier League clubs said to be looking, Warburton has played the speculation off very cooly but deep down he'll know there's a chance Manning may leave in January.
