Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Warburton has confirmed that Joe Walsh's arrival at the Kiyan Prince Foundation stadium from Gillingham is imminent.

The R's boss has been active so far this month in the transfer window with the likes of Charlie Austin, Jordy de Wijs and Stefan Johansen arriving in W12.

However, there is still time in the window for further moves and it looks as though young goalkeeper Joe Walsh is set to arrive from the League One-based Gills.

Speaking to the press this morning ahead of the R's' trip to Watford on Monday night, the manager revealed that Walsh's arrival is 'imminent' and so we could see him unveiled in the very near future.

The Verdict

Seny Dieng is obviously number 1 at QPR at the moment but Walsh will want to come in and show what he can do for the future.

At 18-years-old he is obviously very young for a stopper and will be looking to learn as much as possible at his new club in what is an exciting looking move for him.

Dieng has shown this season that the R's can develop goalkeepers well through things like the loan system and Walsh will be one to watch in the years to come.
