Coventry City might still be top of League One, but their manager Mark Robins was not happy following their 0-0 draw with Burton Albion, as reported by Coventry Live.

The visitors perhaps had the better of the game, registering seven shots on target to Burton's one, but it wasn't enough to give them the goal they needed to open up a gap at the top of the table.

They remained top courtesy of Ipswich's failure to beat Doncaster Rovers, but it wasn't a game Robins wants to look back on with any fondness.

“There were a lot of poor decisions made from us, and them to be honest, so both teams," said the former Barnsley boss.

"Some were forced under pressure because they tried to press and we tried to press.

“We couldn’t get out in the first half and we reminded them of the good things they can do and they were better in the second half, especially out of possession.”

He did point to a couple of the Sky Blues’ key players being tired, with both Liam Walsh and Jordan Shipley struggling late on.

“I think Jordan Shipley visibly tired and Liam Walsh visibly tired, and that was borne out by some of the free kicks he put in and some of his decision making in the middle of the pitch. But again, it’s only his second game and he has to go again on Tuesday.

Robins' side have a great chance to put more points on the board this week as they host AFC Wimbledon who are currently third from bottom and without a win in eight matches,

The Verdict

There was plenty to be positive about yesterday; Burton Albion aren't the worst side Robins will face this season and they were the better of the two.

They did lack a certain spark up front, but even so they had the bulk of the chances and the better of the possession. If they want to be top six come May, they will need to improve, but there isn't anything to concern supporters at the moment.

A win against Wimbledon will get them right back on track.
