Coventry City will be looking to build upon their recent victories over Doncaster Rovers and Bristol Rovers when they face Birmingham City in the fourth round of the FA Cup tomorrow.

The Sky Blues, who currently ground-share with Pep Clotet's side, will be the home team at St Andrew's in what promises to be a surreal match-up.

Having set up the clash with the Blues by beating the Gas 3-0 earlier this month in a third round replay, Coventry will be confident in their ability to cause an upset this weekend.

Currently thriving under the guidance of manager Mark Robins, the Sky Blues have climbed up to fourth in the League One standings following an impressive run of form in recent weeks.

Unbeaten in their last 10 games in all competitions, Coventry could book their place in the fifth round of the world's oldest domestic cup competition for the second time in three seasons if they deliver the goods against Birmingham.

Speaking to BBC Sport ahead of the fixture, Mark Lawrenson has predicted that the game will end in a 1-1 draw with the Blues progressing via a replay.

The former Republic of Ireland international said: "Coventry are going well in League One and seem to like St Andrew's more than their landlords Birmingham do, because they have only lost once there all season.

"Any replay will be at the same stadium, so you know what's going to happen, don't you?"

The Verdict

Although Coventry will be wary of the threat that the Blues will pose this weekend, there is no reason why they cannot pull off a shock against their second-tier opponents.

Whilst the Sky Blues have amassed 10 victories at St Andrew's in all competitions this season, Birmingham have only been triumphant on six occasions on home soil and thus could struggle to deal with the pressure placed upon them tomorrow.

If the likes of Matt Godden, Jordan Shipley and Liam Walsh are all on top-form, Coventry may be able to produce a thrilling display of attacking football for their supporters.

By sealing an impressive victory over Birmingham, the Sky Blues could use the confidence gained from this result to launch a sustained push for automatic promotion to the Championship in the coming months.
