Rajiv van La Parra has insisted that Caretaker manager Mark Hudson is the right man to lift spirits ahead of Wednesday's match against Cardiff.
Huddersfield sacked boss Jan Siewert on Friday following a home defeat at the hands of Fulham and they are yet to bring in a replacement.
Van La Parra will be targeting more minutes under Hudson having made just two substitute appearances in all competitions so far this season.
Talking to htafc.com, Van La Parra said: “He came in this morning; we had a meeting and he was really positive in the way he spoke to us. He had a vision and he wants to bring it to us.
“He gives us a new energy and he is the right person now to lift us up and to get us the good results.
“He’s (Mark Hudson) trying to prepare us the best he can for the Cardiff game and after that it’s up to us.
“I think we will need everyone for this game, and he will know the best players to start this game. I’m really looking forward to working with him.
“They are known for the way they play; a lot of long balls. It’s good if you know how a team play.
“I think they are also in a difficult period, hopefully we can get a good result what the fans deserve.”
The Verdict
Van La Parra has every right to be excited about a potential new manager coming in. He clearly wasn't Siewert's biggest fan and now has an opportunity to be part of the rebuild.
He seems confident and optimistic about Hudson, even hinting that he could be the right person to take them forward. Take with that what you will.
Hudson would be an interesting appointment and one would assume he'd revert back to the basics, much different to both David Wagner and Siewert's styles.
