Bristol City CEO Mark Ashton has stated that Antoine Semenyo is going to be a really big player for the Robins in the future.

Semenyo is just 19-years-old but is predicted to have a very big future ahead of him due to the potential that he is showing at his young age.

The striker has already appeared eight times this season for the Robins and is becoming a part of Lee Johnson's senior squad. Due to the injury to Benik Afobe, there has been more of an opportunity to some of the youngsters in the team, and Semenyo has been one of them.

It appears he isn't just highly-rated by the coaches, as Ashton expressed that Semenyo is going to a big talent for the club not just now but in the future years as well.

Speaking to Bristol Live, Ashton said: "You look at Antoine (Semenyo) and you need to remember that only 18 months ago he hadn’t kicked a ball of professional football, he’s going to be really big for us now and in the future."

The Verdict

It's nice to see that the hierarchy at a club such as the Robins clearly knows the players in the club and even the younger talent. That shows how involved he is.

This is part of the reason why Bristol City have been so successful in recent years, and they'll want to continue that upward journey that they're going on and hopefully get into the Premier League at some point in the very near future.

As for Semenyo, he has a lot of potential to fulfil, and he's in the right hands under Lee Johnson, as he's a manager who always gives youth a chance.
