Leeds United are the team to beat this season and Marcelo Bielsa's side are showing little signs of being deterred in their bid to win promotion to the Premier League.

The Whites are currently sat top of the Championship table, and due to their FA Cup exit against QPR last month, they have an extended break from league action.

This will give Bielsa the perfect time to cast his eye over his squad, ahead of a crucial game against Bolton Wanderers when they return to action.

The Leeds boss could also be welcoming a number of first-team players to the fold as well, with the injury list in Bielsa's squad gradually shortening, which will be pleasing to see.

It's make or break time for Leeds now, and they need to remain grounded and not get ahead of themselves, otherwise it could cost them promotion.

But which players will the Leeds boss be keeping a close-eye on this week?

Find out below....

Izzy Brown

Brown is yet to make an appearance for the Leeds first-team since joining on loan from Chelsea in the summer, and will be keen to put his injury problems behind him.

He has been on the bench on a few occasions but Bielsa isn't wanting to rush him back into action to quickly.

If he can get fit, then he'll have a crucial role to play in this Leeds team for the remainder of this year's campaign.

Luke Ayling

Ayling has struggled in recent weeks, and gave away a penalty against Swansea in midweek, and will be keen to improve on his performances in 2019.

Jamie Shackleton will be challenging him for a starting spot, so it's vital that he shows improvement during this week, otherwise he could be dropped from the starting XI.

Patrick Bamford

Bamford is another player that has struggled with injuries for the majority of this season, but he has recently returned to first-team action.

He has two goals to his name and will be keen to add to that tally.

If he can impress in training, then we could potentially see him earn an extended run in the starting XI after he started the last two.
