Despite being frustrated with the news that he will be without striker Kemar Roofe for a while, Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa's concerns will have been eased a bit, by the news that Gaetano Berardi and Stuart Dallas both came through Leeds' latest U23 fixture unscathed, and are returning to fitness as reported on Leeds Live.

Both Berardi and Dallas were substituted at half-time in the 2-0 win over Bolton in the Professional Development League Group North fixture.

So how big a boost will the return of Berardi and Dallas be for Leeds?

We discuss.....

Alfie Burns

“Marcelo Bielsa will be pleased.

“They are getting important minutes under their belt ahead of the run-in and Leeds will benefit from their return.

“For me, they aren’t starters, but this will lift the pressure off the first-team squad.”

Gary Hutchinson

“If they choose to play them, yes

“There’s no guarantee they’ll get in, is there?

“What Leeds will need is bodies, not just young kids but experienced players with games under their belt.

“Berardi is the big one of the two.”

George Harbey

"It’s a massive boost for Leeds.

"Bielsa needs as many players available to him as possible in this crucial stage of the season.

"They’d add real strength in depth."

Jay Taylor

“Leeds could be getting some key players back right at the perfect time.

“With Roofe out for a while, getting the likes of Berardi and Dallas back into the squad will soften the blow somewhat.

“Of course, they are not attacking options, but Leeds need more options in defence and getting the pair back is nothing but good news for the fans and, of course, Marcelo Bielsa.”

Jacob Potter

"This is a promising update.

"Dallas and Berardi will provide Marcelo Bielsa with the depth he has been craving in defence in recent weeks.

"It allows the Leeds boss to rotate his squad at times, and they’ll need to do that ahead of the end-of-season run in."
