Marcelo Bielsa has revealed in a pre-match press conference that a key man is set to return to action for their potentially season-defining clash against Sheffield United this weekend.

Pontuss Jansson has been sidelined through injury in recent weeks and is set to return for their game against the Blades in front of the Sky Sports cameras on Saturday.

The Swedish international has been ever-present in the Leeds side this season and is a crucial member of Bielsa's squad going forward for the rest of the season.

Speaking in a recent press conference, Bielsa praised Jansson's showings this season and is keen for him to maintain that consistency for the remainder of the season as Leeds mount their promotion charge.

"I've seen very few players with this consistency with his weight and height, or who can have the same response as a full-back."

With Jansson set to return from injury, he is surely a likely starter for Leeds as they face Chris Wilder's in-form Sheffield United side.

It will be Leeds' toughest test of their promotion credentials yet against a Blades side that pose a huge amount of problems that Marcelo Bielsa's side will have to be aware of on Saturday.

The Verdict:

Jansson's return to the side will be a huge boost to Marcelo Bielsa's side this weekend as he has been one of their standout players this season.

His aerial dominance and calmness in the Leeds defence has been a crucial reason as to why they have been ever so impressive in this year's campaign.

Leeds missed his experience in Tuesday's win against Reading and he will be a welcome addition to have against Sheffield United, in what will be the Whites' toughest test of the season so far.
