Leeds United are interested in signing attacking midfield duo Harry Wilson and Ryan Kent from Liverpool this summer, according to a report by Football Insider.

The report states that head coach Marcelo Bielsa is looking to considerably strengthen his squad in the summer and is already planning approaches for several new players, as the Whites target promotion to the Premier League.

Both players have had impressive seasons on loan for different clubs, Wilson for Derby County in the Championship and Kent for Scottish Premiership side Glasgow Rangers.

Wilson has been sensational for Derby this season and has established himself as one of the stand-out players in the second tier. The 22-year-old winger is Rams' top scorer with 14 goals in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Kent, also 22, has had a impressive season for Rangers, scoring six goals and providing nine assists for his teammates in 39 appearances for Steven Gerrard's side in all competitions.

Leeds are currently second in the Championship table, three points ahead of second-placed Sheffield United and four behind leaders Norwich City in the race for automatic promotion.

The Whites have the chance to take a major step towards the Premier League this weekend, by delivering back-to-back wins against Wigan Athletic and Brentford.

The Verdict

This is very exciting news for Leeds fans.

Wilson and Kent are both talented young players, who have a lot of potential and would be both good signings for the Whites.

They might have a better chance of signing both players if they are promoted to the Premier League this season.
