Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa has set his side one target for their final five games of the season - win them all.

Tuesday night's 2-0 victory at Preston, coupled with Sheffield United's 1-1 draw with Birmingham 24 hours later, means that automatic promotion is now back in the Elland Road side's hand as they lead the Blades in the table by a single point, and that is something Bielsa is clearly determined not to let slip.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the first of those five games games, at home to play-off chasing Sheffield Wednesday, Bielsa told the assembled media: "We have to win the five games left."

The Argentine added: "When you have less points to win, during the last part of the league, the gap for mistakes is reduced."

Following Saturday's meeting with the Owls, Bielsa's side host Wigan and travel to Brentford over the Easter weekend, with Aston Villa the final visitors to Elland Road of the season a week later, before Leeds' season ends with a trip to Portman Road to face seemingly League One bound Ipswich Town on the 5th May.

That one point advantage means that victory in all five of those games would see Leeds win promotion regardless of what Sheffield United do, sealing a first return to the top flight since 2004.

The Verdict You feel the time has to stop when Leeds and Sheffield United stop giving each other chances, and one of them takes the initiative. Right now the opportunity is there for Leeds to do just that, with victory in all five games enough to take them to the Premier League, Bielsa's target is as easy to set out as it can get. Looking at the run in, however, doing that will be somewhat tougher than saying it. Thoughts? Let us know!Â
