Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has revealed that he is yet to think about replacing injured goalkeeper Jamal Blackman, report Leeds Live

Blackman, who joined on loan from Chelsea in the summer, suffered a broken leg in a reserve's fixture two weeks ago, ruling him out for the rest of the season, but Bielsa is keen to focus on the matches in hand first.

"I can’t answer to this question today because I haven’t thought about it yet," the Argentinian said.

"We still have a month of competition to play.

"And usually we think about this kind of thing when we get close to the date."

Blackman failed to make a single Championship appearance for the club during his spell at Elland Road, with Bailey Peacock-Farrell selected as the number one.

The club were forced to use youth player William Huffer in goal with Peacock-Farrell injured for the club's 2-0 victory against Bristol City on the weekend before the Northern Ireland international made a comeback in midweek.

The Whites were 1-0 winners against strugglers Reading at Elland Road on Tuesday, although Peacock-Farrell was forced into some late heroics, saving Marc McNulty's injury time penalty.

The verdict

I am not sure I entirely believe Bielsa here.

Saying that he has not thought about it is a convenient way of dodging any more questions on the matter but you can bet he has started making plans.

Will Huffer did well, but considering Peacock-Farrell was set to be dropped before Blackman's injury he will want a new shot-stopper in.
