Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa insists his side cannot approach the game against Rotherham on Saturday thinking they are favourites.

The Whites have enjoyed a brilliant start to life under the Argentinian coach, emphatically beating both Stoke and Derby in the league, whilst also progressing in the Carabao Cup.

Such displays have seen the Yorkshire outfit emerge as favourites to win the league with the bookmakers, whilst the Millers are tipped for relegation.

Therefore, Bielsa's men are expected to record a routine win at Elland Road this weekend.

However, the former Marseille boss warned his side not to go into the game with such an attitude, when speaking to Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay.

"If you say that we are favourites you think we are superior or our opponent is inferior. These things are never decided before the game. It's better to demonstrate than to say."

Paul Warne's side beat Ipswich last week, however their previous away game in the Championship saw them on the end of a 5-1 thrashing at Brentford on the opening day.

The Verdict

Even though this is their easiest game on paper, it's a big test for Leeds as it's a different challenge and they need to prove they can overcome sides who sit deep and look to frustrate.

Given that, it's vital they follow Bielsa's attitude and approach this game showing Rotherham the respect they deserve.

Then, it's about maintaining the high standards they've set themselves this season and securing another three points.
