Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa believes his side won't get caught up with the atmosphere when they host Sheffield United on Saturday.

The Whites go into the game at Elland Road one place and two points above the Blades, with many seeing this as a defining fixture in the race for promotion.

Therefore, with so much on the line it's likely to be a highly charged encounter. However, Bielsa insisted via journalist Phil Hay that his side know how to control their emotions.

"You think rationally about decisions but the energy to make these decisions you get from your emotions. For me, the emotion you get from big games are very important.

"Our players have enough experience to manage this kind of game."

Victory would give Leeds a five-point cushion over Chris Wilder's side with just eight games to play and they will head into the clash with real confidence.

That's because they've won their last three games, all without conceding, including a statement 4-0 victory over West Brom in their last match at home.

The Verdict

Bielsa has played things down at his press conference today and you have to say it's smart from him.

The Argentinian's experience will be crucial leading up to the game as he has been involved in some huge games across the globe in his career.

So, he will ensure that the players don't get carried away and even though Saturday's game is massive, there will still be a lot of football to be played.
