Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has admitted that Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder's style of play is something that he has tried to implement over the years, but has failed to do so, reports Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay.

The Argentinian has recently spoken highly of his Sheffield United counterpart - as the Blades prepare to host their Yorkshire rivals in a crunch match at the summit of the Championship table.

Ahead of the clash at Bramall Lane, Bielsa has recently commended Wilder's style of play, saying that he sees things in Wilder's style that he has tried to implement himself over the years, but has been unsuccessful in doing so.

The Blades come into the fixture sitting three places below Leeds, on the back of an impressive 3-2 victory at Brentford in midweek, whilst Leeds come into the fixture on the back of two successive league wins, sitting 2nd in the Championship standings.

The Verdict

Leeds fans might be surprised by this...

Wilder has been nothing but a success at Sheffield United since his arrival from Northampton Town a couple of years ago and has got the Blades playing some magnificent football.

This could be one of the best matches between the two teams in recent years, with both teams battling for promotion.
