Marcelo Bielsa has admitted that Leeds United’s staff have analysed every one of Luton Town’s games this season in preparation for their clash with former boss Nathan Jones this weekend.

Leeds head to the bet365 Stadium on Saturday afternoon to take on Stoke City in what will be Jones’ first home league game since he left Luton to take over the Potters.

Delivering a presentation on his defence of ‘spygate’, Bielsa went in depth about his methods when it comes to preparation for games.

Phil Hay from the Yorkshire Evening Post has revealed that in preparation for Stoke, Leeds have been forced to analyse Jones’ Luton, as he’s only taken charge of the Potters twice.

Jones had Luton in automatic promotion contention in League One prior to him walking out in favour of Stoke, but since arriving at the bet365, he’s suffered two defeats.

The Potters were well beaten by Brentford at the weekend and then crashed out of the FA Cup to Shrewsbury Town last night.

Leeds enter the clash on the back of a morale-boosting 2-0 victory over Derby County.

That clash sparked the ‘spygate’ story, which Bielsa has addressed today.

The Verdict

This is incredible from Bielsa and his staff and shows the lengths that Leeds will go to for a win on Saturday.

Bielsa’s whole press conference this evening was intriguing, but this, towards the end, showed his commitment.

You can guarantee that Leeds will be well prepared for Jones and Stoke on Saturday.
