Marcelo Bielsa has insisted that Leeds United will not be making any signings this month, amid speculation linking the club with several Championship players.

The Whites have endured a steady start to life back in the Premier League, and currently sit 12th having yielded 23 points from 18 games this season.

After overseeing a busy summer which saw the likes of Rodrigo, Robin Koch, Diego Llorente and Raphinha arrive at Elland Road for sizeable fees, Bielsa has confirmed that he won't be adding any senior players to his squad before the transfer window closes.

As per David Anderson of the Mirror, he said: "I’m happy with squad we have. I’m comfortable with it and feel we can finish the season with these players."

Quiz: Who has done more of these 15 things out of Derby and Nottingham Forest?

Leeds have been linked with a host of signings this month, with the latest speculation seeing Nottingham Forest's Brennan Johnson becoming the subject of a potential move to West Yorkshire.

QPR goalkeeper Seny Dieng has also been touted as a potential back-up option for Illan Meslier, with Kiko Casilla's future up in the air.

Reports have also claimed that Leeds could be set to profit from Derby's precarious off-field situation, too. The takeover of the Rams is yet to be completed, and both Jason Knight and Louie Sibley have been linked with departures as they look to raise funds to pay players' outstanding wages.

The Verdict

This doesn't really come as a surprise to me.

Marcelo Bielsa isn't the type of manager who brings in players for the sake of it. His research is thorough, and it has been a case of quality over quantity for him in recent years.

Leeds spent a lot of money in the summer, and despite injuries to key players, their squad should see them stay up at a canter this season.
