Birmingham City supporters have been debating whether Pep Clotet should elect to start new signing Jeremie Bela, or place him on the bench for the Blues' clash with Fulham at St Andrews on Saturday.

The Blues announced the signing of Bela during the week following his departure from Spanish Segunda Division side Albacete, and the 26-year-old will certainly add plenty of pace to Birmingham's forward line and offers the flexibility of being comfortable playing in the wide positions or as a second striker.

Clotet's side have scored just 16 league goals so far this term, which is the fewest of any of the sides currently in the top half of the Championship table, and with summer signing Alvaro Gimenez so far struggling to find consistency in front of goal Bela's arrival should help Birmingham improve in the attacking third.

Birmingham suffered a 4-2 defeat at Cardiff City last weekend, with the Blues failing to convert a lot of their chances having recorded 25 shots on goal, and that loss ended a run of two successive wins, meaning Clotet could be tempted to make a few changes to his line-up against Fulham.

However, as some supporters have pointed out, the Blues produced a strong performance in the main against Cardiff despite the loss, and they have also got very good momentum at St Andrews at the moment having won their last three matches on home soil, so there is little need to make wholesale changes on Saturday.

Here, we take a look at what Birmingham fans have been saying about whether Bela should start against Fulham on social media...
