Over the weekend, the Sun on Sunday (page 60) reported that Albert Adomah could be a target for Newcastle United this summer.

The Magpies are preparing for another campaign in the Premier League and will want to build on a decent 17/18.

They are trying to get a deal for Andros Townsend over the line but, according to the report, if they fail in that pursuit Villa's Adomah becomes the back-up plan.

With that said, then, we asked Villans on Twitter to vote in our poll, asking whether they'd be gutted if their left-sided midfielder left the club.

Here's what the result of that was:

Of course, Townsend remains the key target for the Magpies this summer in terms of wingers and Villa fans will surely hope that that deal goes through.

If it doesn't, though, Adomah seems in their sights and such a transfer would leave a fair amount of Villa fans gutted.

With him being one of the best performers for the club last season, that is easy to understand, and it now remains to be seen in the coming weeks what exactly pans out.
