Marcelo Bielsa is going to have to act swiftly in the January transfer window to find a replacement for Samuel Saiz who departed Elland Road in favour of a move to Spanish side, Getafe.

Saiz was reported to be unhappy at the club, but Leeds supporters will be hoping that they can find a suitable replacement for their talisman early in the New Year.

One man who they should certainly be eyeing a deal for is Manchester United youngster, Angel Gomes, who is one of the brightest young prospects in English football.

The attacking midfielder has the creativity to unlock defences with ease, just like Saiz did, and he could be the missing piece in the jigsaw for Marcelo Bielsa's side this season.

Leeds are currently flying high this year and are sat top of the Championship table heading into 2019, and supporters will be dreaming of a return to the Premier League after a lengthy spell away from the top flight.

Gomes hasn't been given many first-team opportunities since his debut for Manchester United back in May 2017, as he replaced Wayne Rooney against Crystal Palace.

He has only made one substitute appearance this season, as he came on late into Manchester United's 3-1 win over Huddersfield Town at Old Trafford.

Gomes will be keen to make a name for himself in the professional game, and a move to Leeds would tick all the boxes.

He has age on his side, as well as having the hard work ethic that is required in Bielsa's Leeds this season, and I'm confident in saying that the England youngster would provide the extra spark that is needed for Leeds going forward.
