Manchester United striker Will Keane looks set to complete a permanent deal at Sheffield Wednesday in the summer, according to the Star.
The 22-year-old forward has been on loan at Stuart Gray’s side this season, and has impressed with a string of good performances for the Owls.
Speaking to The Star, Sheffield Wednesday boss Stuart Gray said: “Lewis [McGugan] and Will [Keane] are two quality players. They are two good team- players and are both excellent in possession.
“Lewis and Will are enjoying their football. The supporters can see the effort and commitment they are putting in.
“If we can bring in players of that calibre, it can only be great for Sheffield Wednesday.”
Keane is seemingly not in the first-team plans of Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal, and it would be no surprise to see him leave Old Trafford in the summer.
The 6ft 2 striker amassed four appearances whilst on loan at Wigan Athletic in 2013, but he failed to find the back of the net for the Latics.
In 2014, he went on loan to Queens Park Rangers, and there he accumulated nine appearances however again failed to find the net.
The Owls currently sit in tenth place in the Sky Bet Championship, having accrued 49 points from 36 league games.
