Premier League giants Manchester United are the latest club to declare an interest in Leeds United star Jack Clarke, according to reports from The Sun.

The 18-year-old has been sensational for Leeds under Marcelo Bielsa this season, and recently capped off his first league start for the club with an assist against Derby County.

The young winger has scored twice and produced two assists in 14 games this term, and has already attracted interest from the likes of Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

The report claims that Leeds could look to receive up to £12million for the youngster, after bids from Southampton and Crystal Palace failed to tempt the Whites into selling their most prized asset.

But the latest transfer line from The Sun claims that Leeds' famous old rivals Manchester United are looking to land Clarke - a move that would really cause fury at Elland Road, as Ole Gunnar Solksjaer looks to land a permanent job at Old Trafford.

Leeds will undoubtedly look to keep hold of their star-man this month, with Bielsa's men looking to secure promotion to the Premier League this term. They currently sit one point clear at the top of the Sky Bet Championship table, despite losing three of their last four league games.

The Verdict

I can't even begin to imagine the uproar if Clarke ever left for United.

He is obviously a huge talent with a massive future ahead of him, and he will definitely be playing in the Premier League one day.

He needs to stay at Leeds and become an Elland Road legend, in my opinion.
