Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is wanted by Bristol City, despite being offered a new contract by the Old Trafford club.

According to a report in the Manchester Evening News, the England under-21 star is wanted by the Robins after impressing during a loan spell with Shrewsbury Town last term, helping the Shrews to within touching distance of promotion to the Championship.

Henderson has yet to sign a new deal with the Red Devils, and it will make his decision even tougher if he is to be guaranteed first team football with the Robins.

Manager Jose Mourinho is clearly a fan of Henderson, and kept him among six players who were offered a new deal with United, and will be hopeful his young stopper will sign on the dotted line and continue to learn his trade behind number one David De Gea.

Henderson though will feel he might well not have the first team chances necessary to progress his career at Old Trafford, with the likes of Sam Johnstone and Sergio Romero also ahead of him in the pecking order.

Bristol manager Lee Johnson is hoping to add some quality to his squad this summer after seeing the Robins fall short of the playoff places last season.

Robins fans, what do you think? Would Henderson be a good signing? Let us know!
