Manchester United keeper Lee Grant has revealed that several of his teammates have praised Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa as the sides prepare to meet in pre-season.

The two rivals will be playing in Australia next month and whilst there's nothing riding on the game it will still be interesting given the history between the sides.

And, Red Devils stopper Grant told the official site that the fixture has already been spoken about in the dressing room and he revealed that the Whites manager is a very respected figure by members of the squad.

"He’s really interesting, he seems like a large character, but what I will say as well is that he is thought of really highly by a lot of the Spanish contingent in our squad. The more and more I read about him, the more intrigued I am."

The Argentinian has established himself as one of the most forward-thinking coaches in the game and he has worked with midfielder Ander Herrera at Athletic Bilbao.

During his time with the Basque club, Bielsa's side knocked out Manchester United in the Europa League with two memorable performances.

The Verdict

This just shows how highly-rated and respected Bielsa is by the fact the Premier League side have been speaking about him.

That is great for Leeds fans to read and proves that they have a top quality manager in charge of the team.

The game against their big rivals will be a huge test for the Whites players and there's no doubt that Bielsa will see it as an opportunity to learn more about his squad.
