Manchester United could be set for a busy transfer window this summer, with a number of arrivals and departures likely as they looked ahead to the 2019/2020 season.

One man that has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford is goalkeeper, Dean Henderson, who is keen to return on loan to Sheffield United.

The shot-stopper played a starring role in the Blades' promotion back into the Premier League last season, and without him, you have to feel as though they wouldn't have been promoted automatically.

He started every league game for Chris Wilder's side this season, and kept 21 clean sheets in his time with the club, which certainly makes impressive reading.

Henderson's future is up in the air at the moment though, with first-choice goalkeeper, David De Gea's future still no closer to being resolved ahead of next year's campaign.

But according to the Manchester Evening News, Henderson has held positive talks with Manchester Untied boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this week and expects to return to Sheffield United on loan.

The 22-year-old's contract at Old Trafford is set to expire upon the conclusion of next season, although the Red Devils have the option of a one-year extension.

It remains to be seen as to where his future lies ahead of next season, but this is certainly a promising update to read if you're a Sheffield United supporter.

The Verdict:

Surely it's the best move for both parties.

If even David De Gea departs Old Trafford in the summer, I would be stunned if they gave Henderson a chance in the first-team anytime soon.

A move to Sheffield United is the best option here, and Blades supporters will be keen to see him return to their side as soon as possible as they prepare for life in the Premier League.
