Manchester United have waived the loan fees for on-loan Bolton Wanderers midfielder Ethan Hamilton according to the Daily Mail.

Hamilton has been on loan with Keith Hill's side since the January transfer window, and has gone on to make 12 appearances in total for the Trotters.

But the midfielder has been unable to turn around their poor run of results in League One, with the Trotters currently sat bottom of the League One table, and 21 points adrift of safety.

Due to recent off-the-field events, clubs have been left without a matchday income, with no scheduled return date for competitive action to get back underway being set as of yet by the relevant authorities.

Bolton have already had their fair share of financial problems in recent years, and this gesture from Manchester United will certainly benefit the club's stability heading towards the summer.

It seems as though the Trotters are destined to drop into the fourth tier of English football though, although a final decision is yet to be made over how this year's league campaign will be concluded.

The report from the Daily Mail also revealed that Manchester United have waived the loan fees for Burton Albion for Kieran O'Hara.

The Verdict:

This will definitely benefit them in the long run.

Bolton's off-the-field problems in recent years have been well-documented, and it's good to see Manchester United waiving the fees that were due to be paid to the club for their respective loan deals.

The stability of clubs lower placed in the Football League is the most important matter at hand at the moment, and it's good to see the Red Devils helping out where they can when it comes to the financial side of things.
