Blackburn Rovers face a battle to keep youngster Jake Garrett at the club with a host of Premier League and Championship clubs chasing him, ESPN is reporting.

Manchester United and Leeds United are among seven sides in the hunt for Garrett's services this summer.

Garrett is very highly-rated at Blackburn and expected to be a first-team star of the future.

The young centre-half has been impressing scouts with his performances at the back for Rovers' academy teams.

Despite his young age, the 15-year-old is already featuring in the under-18 side at Blackburn and is expected to continue his rapid rise towards the first-team in the next few years.

The talented teenager is on the radar of four Premier League clubs this summer, including giants Manchester United.

Watford, who have just snapped up 18-year-old centre-back Ben Wilmot from Stevenage, are clearly looking to strengthen their youth options in that department and they want Garrett.

The talented teenager is also being considered by Crystal Palace and Leicester City ahead of a potential summer move.

Championship trio Derby County, Fulham and Leeds are also keen on the England under-15 international, who has impressed scouts with his ability to carry the ball out of defence.

The Verdict

Garrett is showing signs that he could develop into an all-round centre-half: both dominant at the back and comfortable in possession.

Blackburn will inevitably be desperate to keep him but the idea of playing for Man United is surely a temptation for the youngster.

Leeds are also a big draw and they have been strengthening their defensive options recently.

Garrett could be sold by the fact that Leeds have a clear path to the first-team for their young stars.
