Manchester United are said to be leading the race to sign Swansea winger, Daniel James according to the Daily Mail.

His good run of form has alerted a number of top-flight clubs, with Liverpool also thought to be interested in signing the youngster.

James has just one year remaining on his current deal at Swansea, and it seems highly unlikely that he will remain with Graham Potter's side for much longer.

It was well-publicised that Leeds United were the frontrunners to sign him in January, but the move fell through on Deadline Day, with Swansea not finalising the deal.

James has been in impressive form for Swansea this season, and it isn't a surprise to see him attracting interest from Premier League sides.

He has four goals and seven assists to his name in this year's league campaign, and the Welshman will surely be hoping to have his future resolved at the earliest of opportunities.

It's certain to be a closely-fought battle to land James' signature in the summer, and it'll be a potential deal that we surely won't hear the last of this summer.

The Verdict:

He's certainly going to be a man in demand in the summer.

James has been in excellent form recently, and it isn't a surprise to see some of the best teams in England keeping tabs on him ahead of next year's campaign.

A move to Manchester United might not be the best move for him though, as he surely wouldn't be guaranteed regular first-team football.
