Manchester United are in pole position to sign Fulham wonderkid Patrick Roberts, according to Metro.

Roberts, 18, is regarded as one of the most promising players in the Sky Bet Championship and he is subsequently being courted by some of England's biggest clubs.

The publication claims that a deal will be around the £10 million mark, and if an offer of that size came in, it would be hard for the west London club to turn down.

It has been a truly abysmal season for Kit Symons' Fulham side, with the club currently sitting in 17th place in the Sky Bet Championship table.

The 18-year-old made his first-team debut for the Cottagers last season but has been limited to just a few starts this campaign.

The versatile midfielder has just one year left on his current deal at Craven Cottage, and he has made a total of 18 appearances for Fulham but has yet to score.

Fulham fans.... Would you be gutted to see Roberts leave? Would you be happy to get £10 million for him? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
