According to a report by The Times, Manchester United are hoping to lure Ryan Sessegnon to Old Trafford this summer.

Fulham star Sessegnon is attracting a lot of attention ahead of the summer transfer window after a stunning season for the Cottagers.

The 17-year-old has a remarkable 15 goals and six assists to his name in 44 Championship games this season - a tally which has earned him many plaudits and attracted the attention of PSG, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Monaco and all of the Premier League big boys.

Sessegnon has been transformed from a left back into a left winger this season, although Jose Mourinho is thought to be eyeing a new full back - hence the interest in the Fulham man.

The talented teenager's top performances this season have seen him scoop the Championship Player of the Year award - one of five accolades he won recently at the EFL Player awards night.

Although Sessegnon's primary focus will be on trying to secure promotion to the Premier League with third placed Fulham, there is still a lot of speculation surrounding his future.

Manchester United are hoping to win the race for the England under-21 international, although Spurs are believed to be in pole position for his signature.

The Verdict

Sessegnon is an incredible talent and it is no surprise to see all of the big clubs lining up to sign him. But the teenager needs to ask himself whether he would be playing at a team like Manchester United? Perhaps he is better off staying with Fulham if they go up or heading out on loan to a lower league Premier League side if he does join a team like the Red Devils.
