FLW understands that Manchester United have now entered talks with MK Dons over a deal to sign 18-year-old midfielder Dele Alli.
Football League World reported earlier that the Red Devils were set to make a move, however talks between the two clubs have now begun albeit at a very early stage, according to FLW sources.
It is uncertain as to whether MK Dons will let their star midfielder leave in this transfer window, but if the right fee comes in for the midfielder a move is likely to materialise.
Alli, who is widely backed to be a hot prospect for the future, has caught the eye of Manchester United whilst playing in the third tier of English football, and Louis Van Gaal is set to move for the starlet before the end of the transfer window.
Born in Milton Keynes, he made his debut for the club aged just 16, when he replaced Jay O’Shea as a substitute in an FA Cup tie against Cambridge City in a 0-0 draw, before scoring in the replay which the Dons won emphatically 6-1.
