Manchester United defender to reject Blackburn switch

Premier League side Manchester United defender Michael Keane is set to reject a permanent switch to Championship side Blackburn Rovers according to Sky Sports.

The 21-year old spent the last few months of this past season on loan at the Championship side and enjoyed a successful spell with the club during which he made 13 appearances and impressed his critics.

Following his successful loan spell the youngster has developed confidence in his abilities and is determined to fight for his place at Old Trafford.

It is thought the new manager Louis Van Gaal will give every player at the club an opportunity to show what they can do and Keane is hoping he can impress the Dutchman for a first team place.

It will prove to be a blow for Gary Bowyer’s plans as he saw the Manchester United youngster as a key transfer target but will now have to look elsewhere.
