Young Reading star Aaron Kuhl is being lined up by Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini, according to the Daily Mail.
The classy central midfielder captains Royals’ U18s and U21s sides and has enjoyed a superb season.
He helped the U18s to the semi-final of the FA Youth Cup and on Saturday he lifted the Premier League Cup with the U21s following their 2-0 success against City, despite sitting out the game through injury.
His performances are said to have now caught the eye of Pellegrini who wants to take the 18-year-old to the Etihad to boost City’s ‘homegrown’ quota and is rumoured to be lining up a £2 million bid.
But Reading will do everything they can to keep the youngster who signed his first professional contract with the club in December.
