Premier League giants Manchester City are interested in signing Fulham defender Ryan Sessegnon this summer, with boss Pep Guardiola closely monitoring the player’s situation, according to The Sun.
City’s rivals Tottenham had a go at signing the left-back during the January transfer window but were knocked back with the Cottagers demanding a fee in the region of £8 million for one of their prized assets.
Guardiola, however, is convinced that the 16-year-old could make an immediate impact on the City first team and he looks set to make his move during the close season.
The Citizens have a real concern with the left-hand side of defence and the signing of Sessegnon over a more experienced option would certainly represent an element of risk.
The teenage sensation has featured 14 times for the Cottagers this season and he also has two Championship goals to his name, with the player seemingly looking set for a bright future in football.
