According to The Sun, Oxford United will struggle to keep Marvin Johnson at the club in the summer after more than thirty scouts watched him on Tuesday night.

Marvin Johnson opened the scoring for Oxford United as they thrashed Bury 5-1 on Tuesday night and there were plenty of scouts who would have been impressed by that.

Amongst Johnson's shock admirers are the Premier League champions Leicester City and Premier League giants Manchester City.

The 26-year-old moved to League One outfit Oxford in the summer from Motherwell and has since been converted from a winger to an attack-minded left wing back.

The former Solihull Moors and Kidderminster player has also been linked with a return to the West Midlands, with Aston Villa, Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion all interested.

The Scottish Sun later revealed that scouts from Scottish Premiership champions Celtic were also watching Johnson in midweek.

Oxford's Marvin Johnson - who is likely to be watched again when the U's take on Coventry at Wembley this Sunday - looks likely to be the subject of a summer transfer tussle between a number of clubs.
