Dinamo Zagreb manager Nenad Bjelica has suggested that the Croatian club would be willing to listen to any potential acceptable offers for Mislav Orsic, as West Brom continue their pursuit of the 27-year-old in the final days of the window.

The Baggies have been looking to boost their attacking options throughout the January transfer window, and are reportedly close to bringing in Sheffield United’s Callum Robinson to the Hawthorns, while they have also secured Grady Diangana’s loan spell from West Ham until the end of the campaign.

Slaven Bilic’s side have also been linked with a potential move to bring Orsic to the club from Dinamo Zagreb, with the attacker having been in excellent form for the Croatian club so far this campaign in both their domestic league and the Champions League.

Speaking to 24Sata, Bjelica suggested that Zagreb would be open to any offers that fall near their valuation of Orsic, but also outlined how much of a blow it would be to lose the attacker at this stage in the window, saying: "Well, we can listen to anyone from whom a good offer comes, we are always ready for it.

"We know how we will react. We have no need to sell players today, but if a bid for a player club comes from a club, we will take that into consideration.

"But such an offer is not in sight so far, so this is a hypothetical question - there is no need to discuss it too much.

"The most critical situation is on our left wing where Orsic is. Yes, we still have Marina here who is young, and Atiemwen can do the same.

"However, Orsic’s eventual departure would be a major handicap if we did not find an alternative here."

The verdict

These are interesting comments from Bjelica, with the Dinamo Zagreb boss certainly not ruling out any potential move from West Brom for Orsic before the end of the transfer window, with the Croatian club likely to be unable to really turn down a large offer for the 27-year-old.

That should offer some encouragement for the Baggies and should mean that if West Brom really want to secure a deal for Orsic in the last few days of the window there is a chance of them doing so, as long as they are willing to pay the sort of offer Dinamo Zagreb are asking for.

West Brom, though, now need to make a decision over whether they want to make a move for Orsic, or instead look to focus on securing moves for other potential options with time running out to really spend much more efforts weighing up a potential move for the attacker.

Bilic is clearly keen on Orsic, but it remains to be seen whether he is convinced he is the right addition to make in the last few days of the window, and West Brom fans will be hopeful that whatever happens with the attacker the Baggies are able to strengthen their attacking options before the end of the window.
